Airtel Nigeria is at it again. Can I hear you say what? Airtel is giving away free 1GB of internet data to its customer (those who care). You read that right. Yes, absolutely FREE.

Let’s skip the yarn.

To get this free data bundle, follow the steps below:

1.   Text SOCIALMONTH to 440 (in capital letters). After you might have sent the message, you will receive a message from 0802 that goes thus:

        ‘Thank you for subscribing to the Airtel…

2.   After few seconds or minutes, you will receive another message from 0802 which goes thus: 

             ‘You have been successfully activated on the Airtel…

You will be informed that you have been given a data bundle of 1024MB (1GB+)

3.   Simply dial *141*712*0# on your phone to confirm that you have been credited with 1024MB of data.

4.    Finally, remove your phone’s battery and insert again after few second. Switch on your phone and start browsing

NOTE: You can not exhaust the data on your phone, it is advisable to insert your sim into a modem or connect it with your PC using your phone as a modem.

It will only last for 30 days unused data will be lost. Enjoy it while it lasts.
